Even if we are not always consciously aware of it, an inner process takes place within us every day: namely, how we deal with our own resources.
This may sound abstract at first, but it is actually quite simple. We all have abilities - some innate, some learned, some a mixture of both. These can be very obvious, such as physical strength,
or very subtle, such as sensitive intuition.
In everyday life, we constantly draw on these resources, mostly without really noticing. We use them to cope with our lives or simply to experience joy. For example, we can make use of our quick
wit at work or tap into our creativity when pursuing an artistic hobby.
Typically, we use our abilities unconsciously. We may have a sense of what we are good at and what we are not good at, but we rarely consciously apply and use these abilities. In principle, there
is nothing wrong with this. At the same time, especially in times of crisis or when pursuing important goals, conscious use can be crucial.
A comparison with external resources illustrates this clearly: let's consider money. As long as we have enough, it doesn't bother us if we unconsciously spend it on things we want right now.
However, if money is tight or we are pursuing a specific goal that requires money, it is worth managing it consciously: for example, in the form of fixed budgets or clear priorities.
Our internal resources are invisible and therefore often more difficult to grasp than external resources. However, that does not make them any less important. And that is why it is worthwhile to know your own abilities.
There are many ways to do this: it can happen through conscious self-reflection, guidance such as personality tests, or even through feedback from people close to
you.
Our birth chart is a special tool for this. Our birth chart gives us a neutral reflection of the abilities we have at our disposal - and how
they typically affect us.
Basically, we can divide these into three components:
- Our resources (planets)
- The abilities that result from them (signs)
- How they typically affect us (aspects)
You will find an overview below.

The birth chart should not be understood as a stroke of fate, but rather as an inner compass. It shows us predispositions and potentials for which there is no “right” or “wrong,” no ‘good’ or
“bad.” They are neutral in themselves.
After all, which ability is helpful depends on the situation. Mars in Aries may sound “good” at first, as it combines drive with initiative and strength. But in situations that require calm and
de-escalation, Mars in Libra seems more suitable with its capacity for diplomacy.
This example shows: Each placement can have a constructive or destructive effect, depending on the situation. We should therefore be careful not to evaluate
our abilities, let alone declare them to be “strengths” or “weaknesses.”
Instead, it is advisable to recognize and understand our own abilities. This enables us to deal with them consciously.
Once we know what we are really made of - including our strengths and weaknesses - we can use our abilities in a more targeted and constructive way. For example, to achieve goals, bring about
change, or make our lives more enjoyable. This ability becomes almost essential in times of crisis: when resources are scarce, it is even more important that we manage them in a targeted
manner.
Studying your birth chart can thus become an exciting and enriching journey: toward a more conscious use of your own abilities and a deeper understanding of your inner sources of
strength.
